Africa Reporters Network – Editorial Policy
At Africa Reporters Network (ARN), our mission is to provide readers across Ghana, Africa, and the world with accurate, well-researched, and impactful journalism. We believe storytelling is not just about reporting events, but about giving voice to the voiceless, shining a light on challenges, and sparking dialogue that drives progress across the continent.
This editorial policy outlines the principles and standards that guide our newsroom.

Africa Reporters Network – Corrections Policy
At Africa Reporters Network (ARN), we are committed to accuracy, fairness, and transparency. While every story goes through rigorous fact-checking and editorial review, mistakes may occasionally occur. This policy outlines how we handle corrections and clarifications.
1. Commitment to Accuracy
- We strive to ensure all facts, names, dates, and figures are correct at the time of publication.
- Errors that come to our attention are corrected promptly and clearly.
2. How Corrections Are Made
- Minor errors (such as typos or spelling mistakes) may be corrected silently, provided they do not change the meaning of the article.
- Substantive errors (such as incorrect facts, figures, or misattributed quotes) are corrected with a clear note at the bottom of the article indicating what was changed, and when.
- Updates: When a story develops further after publication, we update the article and mark it as “Updated” with the date/time of revision.
3. How to Request a Correction
Readers, sources, or stakeholders who believe a story contains an error can:
- Email us at africareportersnetwork@gmail.com
Please include:
- The headline and link to the article
- A description of the error
- Any supporting documentation or evidence
4. Accountability
- All correction requests are reviewed by our editorial leadership team.
- If a correction is warranted, it will be made within a reasonable timeframe and logged transparently.
- If no correction is necessary, we will provide a written explanation.
5. Commitment to Readers
Corrections are not a weakness, but a demonstration of our integrity and accountability. We believe maintaining trust with our audience means acknowledging errors openly and ensuring our reporting remains reliable.
