Kinross Gold has fully divested its equity in Asante Gold, selling nearly 67 million shares for about C$119.4 million ($87M). The move comes just as Asante, operator of Ghana’s Bibiani and Chirano mines, readies its debut on the TSX Venture Exchange. Despite the exit, Kinross will remain a supportive investor through convertible instruments equal to an 8.4% diluted stake.
